That’s how visitors describe the new Firemen’s Home. We are tremendously pleased and proud that the members live in the beautiful new Firemen’s Home! Designed with all the comforts of home and every amenity possible, members are able to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle in a magnificent setting.

The Firemen’s Home is the only nursing home in New York State devoted to caring for volunteer firefighters. New York State volunteer firefighters (and spouses), as well as members of a ladies auxiliaries, may be eligible for admission.

Our beautiful campus, located on 122 acres of rolling hills overlooking the Hudson River, combines the best of old and new. The building of our campus began over one hundred years ago, yet today we are proud to provide state-of-the-art quality healthcare, including specialized rehabilitation, socialization and camaraderie, to our members in a truly unique 126,000 square foot facility. Our members are our total focus at the Firemen’s Home. They are the reason we exist and we do everything within our power to make their experience here fulfilling and rewarding.
